Timeline for Supplier Scam

We are a health and beauty company located in the USA. Through careful research, we found an Organic Neem Oil supplier in India: Bhagwati Agro Industries

We thought we found a great partner to work with. We were wrong.

Our shipment was delayed several times. After 2+ months, we finally ran out of patience and requested our deposit back.

The supplier has yet to return our money and even asked us to accept products that cannot be certified organic in the USA.

Below is a timeline about our experience with Bhagwati Agro Industries. We hope you learn from this nightmare.

On June 28, 2021, we reached out to Bhagwati Agro Industries to purchase Organic Neem Oil.
On June 30, 2021, we received a reply from Mamta Gajjar asking us if we need a Tracenet (TC) or not. We answered yes because organic certification requires this document from Indian suppliers.
On July 12, 2021, we paid a 30% deposit. We were fortunate we didn’t pay Bhagwati Agro Industries the full amount like they requested.
On August 17, 2021, we received a message from Mamta stating that due to India regulations, they could only ship 3-4 MTS, which is about half of our order. This should’ve been a red flag because we’ve purchased numerous times from India and have NEVER heard of this regulation. Nevertheless, we gave Mamta the benefit of the doubt and believed him.
On September 11, 2021, we requested a refund after receiving no updates regarding our shipment.
On September 13, 2021, Mamta requested a week to prepare the Tracenet (TC) file.
On September 19, 2021, Mamta said that they were moving our shipment to the port on that day.
On September 24, 2021, Mamta asked for import details to file the Tracenet (TC) file.
On September 28, 2021, we asked for a status update and no response.
On September 30, 2021, we notified to Mamta that we filed a fraud claim with our bank to get our money back.
On September 30, 2021, Mamta let us know that their organic certificate has expired and they cannot send our shipment with a Tracenet (TC) file. However, they can ship without the Tracenet (TC) file. We follow USDA regulations so we cannot import organic products from India without a Tracenet (TC) file.
On September 30, 2021, we requested Mamta to return our money and that we have purchased the domain name https://bhagwatiagroindustriesfraud.com/ . If they don’t return our money by October 4, 2021, we will publish our experience with the company.

Today is October 6, 2021. We have yet to receive our deposit back.
